  • Changing Hands is one of my favorite places in the world. You can get on their emailing mailing list to find out what visiting speakers are coming. So far I've seen Laura Esquivel, Laura Day, Linda Rondstadt and various other authors and comedians on book tours. Even visiting ex-presidents have been known to speak there. The atmosphere is cosy and the gift/card section is great. You can trade in your old books for a credit (let them keep ones for donation they can't use). Highly recommended!
