| - Friends from England came into town. Knowing my SUV would not hold 5 of us plus 8 suitcases, and that none of them had ever been in a limo before, and there was a birthday amongst the group, I decided to rent a limo & collect the lot from McCarran. I figured from my house to McCarran to Tropicana & back to my house could be accomplished in 1.5 hours.
I was able to speak with our driver Anthony prior to my reserved time and I let him know what was going on. The only request from my UK mates was a stop at Wal-mart. I felt absolutely silly by this request but Anthony said he'd make it happen.
Anthony arrived 5 minutes early and once more confirmed where we were headed. As I underestimated the time it would take them to collect their bags so we arrived late. Good thing too. While I was rounding up the girls at baggage claim, Anthony was decorating the outside of the limo with HAPPY BIRTHDAY magnets. Surprise! The girls loved it! After a quick photo op, it was time to get moving.
After methodically arranging all 8 suitcases in the boot, we were off to Wal-mart. What a sight we must've been loading back into the limo with suitcases full of alcohol & Wal-mart bags galore! After a quick readjustment of shopping bags, luggage & 5 girls, we were off to The Tropicana.
We arrived safely at The Trop & I said Good Night to my mates. "Home Geeves," I exclaimed as we pulled away, mates laughing & waving good bye to us.
1.5 hours after beginning this adventure I arrived home safely, thrilled my friends were safely in Las Vegas and I was able to pick them up in class.
My expectations weren't high but I certainly didn't expect things to go as well as they did! Anthony was both professional & fun and I appreciated the attention & assistance he gave to my mates. They absolutely adored him & have requested his services during their next holiday in December.
On my way home & still feeling a bit silly about Wal-mart I felt the need to apologize for that stopover. He laughed & mentioned stopping there after picking up from McCarran is pretty much routine for him as international guests love that place....for the same reasons my mates did!
Now for the specifics: we rode in a 6-passenger limo, equipped with bar. (I declined having it stocked but would have asked for it to be if we would have been in it longer.) It has the Drive Cam system onboard so in the event of an accident, there is footage of what happened. Non-smoking. Clean, inside & out. No rotten scents or smells. Anthony took care to drive the speed limit, obeyed all traffic laws & rules of the road. Ultimately, our lives were in his hands & his attention to the road did not go without notice. My mates & I felt completely safe. As I previously stated, we are looking forward to their next visit & I will definitely call upon Anthony & LVL to help me get my friends to their hotel in December...after a quick Wal-mart stopover that is.
