  • I went to pick up dog food on Wednesday, August 9 (senior discount day). I was waiting in line, listening to the cashier talk to everyone. She was by far, the friendliest employee I've ever seen at any store, never mind just Safeway. Every customer that went through her line, she knew by first and last name. Even the customers that were just passing by, she said hi to all of them and knew them on a first name basis. I think that's pretty amazing. Most people don't even take the time to say "hello" these days, let alone knowing every customer. Her name was Melissa & she was outstanding. I've never seen anyone care so much about their job and their customers as much as her. It means a lot, especially since my grandfather likes to go out just to talk to people like her. She's amazing and I hope she stays around !
