| - I was in town for the June 2014 ALA Conference. I originally stayed at LVH (read my review ~ it was a horrible place).
Since the LVH was on my employers dime, I reserved a room here after the conference since it was so cheap (about $55/night for a Mon & Tues) which I figured it must be super gross for that price but since Im not fancy I didn't care. I stayed in town for vacation and to attend a Wide Spread Panic show.
Imagine my surprise when I walked in my room! From the outside it's not impressive; quaint, reminds me of some cheapy apartment complex. My room was on the second floor (there are no elevators from what I can tell so people with wheelchairs are screwed) near the pool. The room is basically an efficiency apartment. It came with a kitchenette; stove, microwave, mini fridge, and sink. No dishes, pots, pans, or silverware. The bathroom has a small laundry room (no washer/dryer of course) with an ironing board, iron, and clothes rack. The shower/toilet area was clean and the water pressure was great with hot water coming out immediately. The TV has a lot of channels and I had no problem using the Internet. There is free coffee in the room and a complimentary breakfast. The staff was really really friendly and accommodating and let me check in early, asking me questions about where I was from and if I needed any recommendations for places to eat..etc. Just genuinely seemed to care. Each room has their own window air conditioner...mine worked great in the 111* heat. They are pet friendly and have a restaurant that will deliver good, cheap food. I will try the pool out tomorrow, but it looks very small, but I dont care because all I want to do is lie out.
Im really happy with this place and would totally recommend it to anyone.
