I have to agree with Jim. This bar is a has-been. Just like fireworks, Spy has peaked, and it's now on the fast descent back down to earth. Or perhaps it's just completely sputtered out by now.
I remember when this bar first opened up. It was a one of a kind, and West 6th wasn't yet "The Warehouse District". The first time I visited, there was a Plain Dealer reporter writing an article about this new, unique bar that had just come out of nowhere. (Gawwd, Cleveland is such a small town sometimes!) She was interviewing all the patrons.
I also remember the days of LIVE swing bands playing while the crowd danced away on the main floor. Now that's going back! Must have been 1997.
Darn. That means I'm old.
Now that's it's 2007, and things have changed so much, I'd say to leave Spy to the 18+ college crowd!
