| - If I could give negative stars, I would. I'm in an HOA in Tucson, AZ. We had this company do work on our tennis court. We couldn't afford the more permanent court replacement at the time , but chose the less expensive option recommended by MK House to buy time to save up for the 'right' fix. House guaranteed they'd fix the cracks in the court with a product called Rite-Way. While it wouldn't stop additional cracks from appearing, it would keep the 'fixed' cracks from reappearing for 5 years. They gave us both a manufcturer's Warranty AND a MK House company warranty for those 5 years. When cracks reappeared in 2 years, The manufacturer said they wouldn't warranty the product because it should never have been used in our climate. House basically said, "Oops. Sorry about that. But we'll be glad to put in an $80,000 Court that will be real good for ya." We called him out on his company warranty and he agreed we were right, even tho he shouldn't have put that in the contract. He promised to start the repairs (only to what was agreed in the contract, not any new cracks-- which was fair) in September 2016. In September he said his tennis court guy had left and he was trying to find someone new. Then he couldn't find anybody to hire. Then he tried to buy us out for a piddly sum. In March, 2017, our HOA Board met with him. As a 'good-will gesture', he offered to fix the cracks, resurface and restripe our court. We got the offer in writing. No strings were attached to the offer in the letter he sent us. As of March, 2018, we have seen nothing from him. When we contact him (eventually through our attorney) he makes false claims that he agreed to to the fix/resurface/restripe only if we gave him additional work. (Now why would we give him anything else based on our existing experience with his delay tactics, lies, and deceptions?). There was never any such agreement; and if there had been, it would have been included in his written 'good will gesture' proposal. Unfortunately, the cost to proceed with legal action would be more than the cost of the repairs, so we won't be going any further. But I caution every HOA out there to avoid doing business with this company at all costs!
