  • Worst Experience Ever! I spent $1500 on a fridge and had it delivered and installed. After installation the water dispenser didn't work. Installation guys say that it is a problem with the fridge. I call Home Depot and they say they cannot accept returns on appliances and that it clearly states that on the receipt. Are you kidding me????? They tell me I have to contact the manufacturer LG which I did. Almost 4 weeks later and 3 visits from different techs they sent out I still have a fridge that doesn't work. All I have is yet another 4th appointment for another tech (who by the way was extremely ridiculous in the way he spoke to me) coming out in another week....I will NEVER buy anything from THD again....nothing... UPDATE: I filed a BBB complain on THD and received a call from THD on 04/26 - Ellen stated that she would work with LG directly and compensate me appropriately. Today is 05/03 and I never heard back from THD with a resolution. 04/26 I called THD warranty department with Asurion (I did purchase THD warranty) and they state that they cannot help me until after the first year. They state during the first year I must work with LG. 05/03 LG returns and "fixes the damaged valve" but discovers there is a second bad part on the fridge that he doesn't have the part for. He states he will order and call me back when it arrives to set up an appointment. WOW! Basically, back and forth, back and forth - we are now almost 6 weeks out - 4 visits later - and still a non-working fridge! and to THD's reply below - I think not! If you truly wanted to remedy the situation then it would have been replaced already. However, you refuse to honor your 48 hour return/reject policy online. And you continue to spin me in circles hoping I will just fall off and forget...Stop leaving comments on my review to try and make yourself look good. If and when you remedy the situation then I will happily update my review. UPDATE: 05/11/2018 The technician that was supposed to contact me with the next part came in never called me back. Ellen, Home Depot BBB complaint responder, called me this week to follow up on the repairs. I informed her that we hadn't made any progress with LG and I that I expected a replacement of the entire fridge as I can't keep missing work waiting for the repair guy repeatedly. Finally, I was delivered a working fridge today on Friday. While I am pleased that I did eventually get what I paid for, I am extremely upset that I had to work so hard to get it. I do NOT believe that it would have been made right if it wasn't for the BBB complaint that I filed. BUYER BEWARE!! with both LG and THD....never again....
