| - My boyfriend lives in the neighborhood right behind this place, so when I saw that a groupon was available, I bought and saved it for a quick date night. Nothing to lose!
The pictures don't look like it, but it was actually pretty fun. There are two courses to choose from - one that was aimed mainly for kids, and another just regular. As the name implies, it sports a Hawaiian theme, but I think the decor could be pushed a little more and added onto. The foundation is there, but the trimmings could be worked on. Maybe more Hawaiian accessories on each hole to diversify them, perhaps more murals on the wall, of pineapples or hula dancers or surfers, etc. It would help minimize the "warehouse" feeling and would liven up the sparse walls.
The place itself is in a forlorn plaza that seems to be struggling for business, with only a Dotty's and a nameless spa as its functioning neighbors. It is all the way out there by the M Casino, so I guess not very many companies invest in the rent space.
Regardless, the owner was friendly and personable. It was near closing time when we went, but he insisted that we take our time. He even gave us a coupon for next time, too. Overall - fun little place, just needs some more decor to round out the theme.
