Went for brunch on Sunday. There were very few people when we arrived, and the ones we saw were eating. We chose to sit at the bar which was a great choice and the only reason for a two star rating. The bartender was super knowledgeable and really enhanced our visit. However, we waited for our food over 40 minutes and when the Eggs in Hell arrived, that is exactly what they were. The eggs were so over cooked they were inedible. The cheeses were baked on to the bottom of the iron skillet and had to be scrapped off with a knife to eat. The hot pepper was indiscernible and the sausage had to be cut through the black crust with a knife. Sooooo disappointing. And I didn't realize there was any marinara as it too was over done. And what! we waited 40 minutes for this!?!
Here is the description of what I thought I was having for brunch:
EGGS IN HELL- iron skillet filled with sausage stuffed banana peppers, marinara, provolone, mozzarella and two sunny side up eggs with toast and a side of tots. - Definitely sounded a lot better than what I was presented.
I reiterate that we enjoyed ourselves because that's what we do. Even if the food was disappointing our cocktails were superb. Kudos to the bartender - she and the drinks were the best part of our experience.
We will return for cocktails but not sure if we'll order food again.
