| - We went to this theatre this evening. We want to see Batman, but it was too full, so we switched to the Bourne Legacy.
The thing I like about this theatre is that it's in a very accessible locations and there is lots of free parking. However, it's usually very busy, meaning you'll have to drive around for a while to find a spot, or park at the very pack of the lot. Even taking that into account, it's faster for us to drive out to this location - from downtown - compared to fighting traffic to go to one of the theatres downtown.
They have a few food options, but not many. I like that there is a Tim Horton's that sells things at regular prices. I don't like that the Tim Horton's doesn't sell water or juice - you have to buy that at inflated prices from one of the other places inside.
I also like that there are several restaurants on the other side of the parking lot. This makes dinner and a movie very convenient.
The sound quality is good. You also don't have to hear the movie next door through the wall, which has been a problem at other locations.
One thing that bothered us on this particular occasion was the incredibly slow pace of the young man checking tickets to enter the theatre. The line kept building up. A manager would come over every once in a while to process people and get rid of the line. Within minutes of the manager leaving, the line would build up again. When we finally got close to the front, we realized why. Aside from the idle chit chat which could have been avoided, the young man was inspecting our tickets as if it was the first time he'd seen one. People were so fed up with waiting that they just walked past him and held their tickets in the air. He protested, but they didn't stop. It was a funny sight to behold.
