  • My friend didn't buy her dress at Davids but wanted all the bridesmaids to get their dresses there. It didn't matter what dress I got she just wanted everyone to have a long dress and in a certain color. So I picked out a very flowy one shoulder strap dress. When it arrived I never got an email or phone call that it was ready the firs time. then I got a "follow up" email saying its still there, and I knew from when I ordered it I had to pick it up in a certain time frame or they would re stock it or something to that effect. the email was generic looking, that it didn't even have the logo on it, I easily could have missed it but luckily I didn't. when I went to pick it up, I wanted to try it on of course to make sure it fit properly incase I needed any alterations or anything. The dress was SO wrinkly that it looked like it was wadded up in a ball until they brought it out to me. It really surprised me after spending $140 something on a dress that they were OK with bringing it out the customer looking like that. so when I went to leave I asked the lady to make sure that I could have steamed at a local dry cleaners to get the wrinkles out. The lady got in defense mode and said "all of our dresses come shipped in a box". I said "ok I just wanted to make sure with this kind of material its ok to get it steamed to get the wrinkles out. She said yea and I could bring it back to them a few days before the wedding to let them steam it. Why they didn't do that prior to handing the dress over to me I have NO idea. I guess David's bridal just wants to nickel and dime every customer that comes in there for every little detail. I would not recommend this David's bridal or any David's bridal to anyone. There are a lot of great other bridal stores out there for options, a lot locally owned. I much rather support a local own shop and probably get much better customer service.
