| - The complaints and bad reviews left for this place are a bit over the top. It's really not that expensive for all of the food and service you receive. I saw someone say it's $70 per person per meal, umm.. that's depending on what you choose. A four course meal for me was around $45 and for my boyfriend who chose lobster, it was $54 or something for his four course meal. I was nervous to come here for my birthday and anniversary celebration after reading so many negative reviews but I'm glad I came in anyways.
I called and scheduled a dinner for two on a Sunday night, requesting one of the private booths with curtains. The ONLY problem all night (which is not really a problem at all because we were still sat and only had to wait maybe 3 minutes - no biggie!) was that my reservation was not made or written down. I double checked to make sure I called the right restaurant and I did, the only thing we missed out on was a rose petal set up (for $15, I'd rather save the money) that I thought was obligatory to get the private booth I wanted. The host / manager seemed a little annoyed when I told her I called the right restaurant, but I may have been coming off wrong, she may have been having a bad night, etc. She came back to check on us later which I appreciated.
FOOD was amazing! Salad is plain but delicious, my boyfriend loved whatever nuts they added to the Caesar. We had the regular land meat entree and the seafood one with lobster, shrimp, ravioli, etc. and shared them. They were amazing and the veggies that come on the side are so yummy!! Dessert is great too, next time I'll let my boyfriend choose because I chose the basic one and eat peanut butter daily so I didn't need more, but I thought I did!
Our server was wonderful, he did a great job and checked on us consistently. Timing was always good, we were never waiting nor rushed. Dinner was absolutely amazing, my boyfriends first time and he fell in love too. We can't wait to come back!!
The prices aren't that bad! Pay attention to where you are dining! If you want the extra special spot, ask for or call to reserve one of the booths with a curtain for two. Don't listen to the people who have left reviews who don't know how to pay attention to what they're doing. I serve at a restaurant and can tell when people are mad their tab comes out high, *pay attention.*
Thank you, Melting Pot!! We will be back :-)
