I stayed here for a weekend with my father when we went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It's a good thing my mother didn't come...
The hotel was fine for us, but she would have demanded a relocation. The best word I can find to describe the actual suite we stayed in is probably something like "CRUSTY."
Basically, this place is in desperate need of a remodeling. The fold-out couch was polyester and scratchy. The elevators were slow, and they displayed the wrong floor number on the inside screen. The beds were decent, but I wouldn't want to look at them under a black light.
What the Embassy Suites lacks in cleanliness, it at least tries to make up for with good customer service and reasonable prices. The manager's reception and free breakfast should be taken advantage of. The indoor pool and fitness center were quite nice and spacious. And the location -- within walking distance to the Rock Hall, Lake Erie, and the various sports/events locations make it easy to get around. There's also a free shuttle to/from the hotel that you can use anywhere inside a 2-mile radius, which is nice if the weather is bad or something like that.
Don't expect a four-star experience at this Embassy Suites, but it's perfectly fine if you're not too picky.
