| - I used to work here and would get my hair done by Jonny and Liliana on a regular basis. I took advantage of the perks that came with working for the salon & spa - obviously! Now that I'm no longer there, I REFUSE to go to any other hairstylist/colourist. I do not trust anyone else and I always leave there really really happy with the finishing results. When I explain to the both of them what ideas I have in my head and what results I'm looking for, they understand what I'm looking for and they take the time to consult and give feedback on what they think would look good too. They are not the type of hairdressers that don't listen and just do whatever they want and chop off too much when you only asked for an inch or two inches off. They are the most friendly, gentle, compassionate people I have ever met and only want the best for all their clients. I must say Jonny does take a long time to do his colour (and when I say long, expect at least 4 hour appointments for colour). However, he has worked from being a Salon Assistant all the way up to a Director and he is COMPLETELY booked up months in advance. So you can only imagine how much experience he has gained since working there. Another heads up, he will also charge you an arm and a leg for colour, but I guarantee you he will always give you the best results without damaging your hair. Being someone with Asian hair to keep a beige/white blonde, it is very very difficult to keep the brassiness out of the blonde. Jonny knows exact formulas to keep that brassiness out and to ensure that you get that beige/white blonde you are looking for.. None of that orange blonde - you know what I'm talking about (puke). As for Liliana, she is just the sweetest and genuine hairdresser I have ever met. She engages in conversations during your service and she is so down-to-earth, you can talk to her about anything and everything. Being in the industry and from experience, most people come to the salon and spa just to vent and you have to basically be a therapist to your clients. None the less, you'll develop such a great relationship with her. She has similar styles and techniques in her haircuts and blow dries as Jonny, and she costs a bit less (which is a bonus - cause I know I can't afford colour and cut/style with Jonny). All the staff here are extremely bubbly, friendly and helpful. The only downfall I'd say to the salon and spa is that the place needs some renovations because its a bit run down. It's also hidden on the second floor which makes it hard for new clients to discover that there is a salon and spa located in the store. Other than that, I highly highly recommend coming here if you are looking for a makeover or a day to unwind and relax.. but before you come here, definitely save up to splurge!
