I was a previous client and only saw Dr. Singer once. I saw 2 of her associates on my previous appointments. I was having severe back spasms when I was going a few years ago. The treatments helped some, but I continued looking for relief elsewhere. I did physical therapy and pain management for a while. I still have back spasms, but not as often and not as severe, however, I have a constant dull pain in that area. I decided to try Chiropractic again and made an appointment online.
The receptionist collected my co pay and Dr. Singer directed me to a room where she told me that if her treatment didn't help before she didn't know why I was here. She said she would not be able to treat me and that I should seek help somewhere else. I told her I appreciated her honesty and that I would try something else.
That is when I was surprised to hear her say "I'm going to bill your insurance for an office consultation, is your deductible met?". Like maybe I was going to give her even more money for doing nothing. I don't have a deductible, so I was allowed to leave without giving up any more cash.
If she doesn't feel that she can help me I appreciate her letting me know, but that is not something that you get paid for. She obviously knew before I arrived that she was not going to treat me. We could have had a phone or email conversation. I feel (my opinion) that she is taking money that she did not earn. I left shaking my head.
