Horrible Business Practices & a Manager that doesn't care. I have traveled for 10 years and have run my business for as long. I have used a variety of corporate cards with my name on it and other individuals names on corporate credit cards, for incidentals. The card used has ALWAYS had a business name on it.
I have never in my life ever had a problem at another hotel, including other Hiltons. This Hilton would not accept a biz credit card from my employee, because I wasn't personally checking into the hotel and the card had my name on it -- along with the business being the main card owner. You had to fax over an authorization form (I could not give authorization through email or any other technology of the 21st-century) They're so worried about "security" that they're using technology from 1990 to authorize a credit card incidental hold.
I spoke with the front desk manager who did not care about my situation and wanted my employee to use cash for incidentals. What kind of hotel requires cash? Because my employee did not have cash, he wasn't allowed to check in for a corporate client's reservation in his name ....all due to incidentals.
Insane! We will never stay here again when traveling for business. And be aware....your employees MUST have their own corporate cards with THEIR name on it or they won't let them check in without a faxed auth form -- which takes a while to process when you find all this out upon check In arrival. Ridiculous for business professionals.
