I am a seasoned ice cream patron and this place completely knocked my socks off. I was sad to discover it only two weeks before the Pittsburgh Public market was to close, so now I need stats on the new location PRONTO! If you're looking for honest to goodness really creamy and delicious ice cream served with a smile, look no further. A little disclaimer to those who have simple tastes, the flavor combos are a little eccentric. Salty Goat Caramel and Honey Nutter were my two favorites. The Beet flavored ice cream had a beautiful color, but I'm just not ready to mix my sacred ice cream with veggies yet...sorry.
My husband and I bought a pint of the Honey Nutter (honey peanut butter) and it comes in the cutest packaging, sort of mason jar-esque. Definitely something you could keep and reuse. Here's the kicker though - it's been in the freezer for two weeks now and when you grab it to eat a bite it's the perfect soft, creamy concoction that you purchased. No hardening or crystallizing. I don't know how they do it! (Well, yes I do - the ingredients are top notch. You are getting a real honest to goodness product here - straight from the farm).
If you try this ice cream, god help you because the cravings will haunt you. I can't wait to go back!
