  • 4.5 stars We are regulars at KF Tea since my kids love this place and are so happy one finally opened in Charlotte. It is a franchise so if you go elsewhere you get the same stuff and the taste is consistent. So here's how to order: 1) Pick your drink and the size 2) Pick your topping 3) Choose how sweet and how much ice you want Here's a helpful video: https://www.kungfutea.com/how-to-order/ There is a menu but they are constantly adding items so look at the posters around the store to see new flavors and toppings. The drinks are made with fresh fruit not from powder so everything is fresh. My kids especially love the fruit slushes. The strawberry milk one tastes like a strawberry smoothie. It's easy for the person taking your order to mix things up, e.g. honey milk tea vs. honey green tea, boba vs popping boba, so double check your order when paying and picking up. Go outside your comfort zone and try something new, especially the toppings. The tried and true topping is boba (chewy tapioca balls in regular or mini sized) but nata jelly (kind of like coconut/lychee flavored jelly) is yummy too. I recently tried the pudding topping which is like the Chinese sweet soybean pudding (tao fu da) but is vanilla. I know a lot of the toppings are an acquired taste for an American palate but they are addictive, especially the boba! Traffic has died down a bit so the wait to order and get your drink isn't too bad. It's like going into a Starbucks to get a drink. They're still busy but you don't have to wait 30 min to order and another 30 min to get your drinks. It's more like a 5 min wait to order and 10 min to get your drinks (usually). Service is good but they are still new and working out the kinks. The staff is still learning how to make all the drinks and they are still working on their software so the app doesn't yet work (which is a major bummer because a regular customer would be racking up rewards). It's a work in progress. Definitely download the app. Your first drink is free and you get loyalty rewards. If you get boba or pudding, use the larger straw or you won't be able to suck up your toppings!
