First do not call their customer service, they don't answer. I took a cartridge back to the store today because my printer stopped accepting it. They told me that HP writes into their newer software a way to detect non branded cartridges and that you need to put a original empty one back into the printer to reset the software. I get that, but my question to them is why didn't you tell me that when I bought the cartridge after I asked if it would work in my new HP 8610 printer? His tone was a bit rude, when he stated that it states it in the fine print in the packaging. That didn't help me after using it a few times before getting the issue. Good customer service would be, to let your customers know that there may be a problem up front before they purchase, (if this is a known issue) so that we can make the choice if we want to go through the hassles of resetting the printer every so often to save money. I have bought many cartridges there before over the years with no issues for other printers. However, they have lost me as a customer because of the tone he used when I suggested that that would of been good to know the issues upfront.
