| - We only ordered one thing which is why I'd normally not review a place unless I try more, but the idea of shelling out more money to risk this quality and quantity of food again is much too painful, and I do feel the need to share our experience. We ordered the Prosciutto Arugula pizza. Had it been decent, we would have ordered the Margherita too. This came with 6 very thin small slices. I like thin crust and the dough was not bad, but it was burned on the bottom. The pizza itself only had 3 toppings: almost no cheese, prosciutto, almost no arugula (literally 3 tiny pieces on the whole pizza) and super tangy tomato sauce. The problem wasn't the lack of variety of toppings. Some of the best tasting pizza I've ever had had few toppings. But there needs to be enough of those very toppings. Anyway, the tomato sauce tasted like it came from a can, but if it was made there which I assume it was, that shows theirs taste even worse than Prego or Ragu, yuck. The little cheese that was there (not even certain there was cheese amongst the strong sour tomato sauce) & meat slid off the entire pizza along with the tomato sauce. I was constantly putting the meat back on. For this dinky little awful tasting "pizza" we paid $20, was it even 12 inches? The bartender was really pushing us to get a 2nd one being it's small. After that experience, no thank you. The 2nd star is only because the atmosphere there is so nice, it's in the Venitian after all. Violinists were playing behind us, of course little of the good part of the setting had anything to do with the restaurant itself, but rather the lovely Italian inspired hotel. If that pizza is a representation of the quality of their entire menu, then I don't think they deserve that amazing space.
