  • Being stuck inside with a toddler for multiple days in a row due to bad weather is enough to make me want to re-enact scenes from "Misery" with a Mr. Potato Head. We were looking for a place so that our young one could roam wild and free so we decided to check out Candyland. A bit of a drive from our High Park 'hood but the 400N was pretty quiet on a Sunday morning. Entry price was $9 per child, included entry of 2 free adults. We arrived about 1/2 hr after opening and stored our boots/coats in the cubbies. Once inside, we were wowed by the large candy-themed play structure. There is a small area for younger guys but our daughter wanted to join the big kids with the climbing and sliding. Parents are allowed on the structure as well but I have the stature of a 12-year old boy so no one asked any questions. There is a nice seating area for snacks. We brought our own water and small snack but there is a counter that also sells food. Saw plenty of available high chairs for younger tots as well. Washrooms are clean and bright. No potty training seats provided so you might want to BYO. A fab place to bring the kids to vent out cold weather cabin fever. Mr. Potato Head got to keep both his arms, thanks to Candyland.
