The family visited Paul Fleming's owned Paul Martin's on Christmas Eve. There was a little miscommunication with regards to the lady who calls those who have reservations as she told us they could make anything Gluten Free but when we arrived, both the waiter Trent who was great and the manager in the red shirt (who btw did not even know their was gluten in reg. pasta) said they were not able to make things GF. So a little bummed I could only get a salad or soup and a app. We started off with the artichoke app which is enough for two people which was real yummy much better than other places. My friend had the pacific redfish and he said the spinach was amazing. They did not offer anyone on our table bread or butter and I noticed everyone else had bread on their tables. My other friend had the salmon salad. I opted for the Butternut Squash Soup without the pesto on top as I can not have EVOO which their pesto was made with. It was very thick and tasted like it had chili flakes in it. Not a fan of the Butternut squash soup just average. The best place to get the butternut squash soup is actually right across the street from Paul Martin's. Overall my friends thought is was a bit expensive $15.00 for a glass of wine and $4.00 for a teabag /cup of hot tea. The service was right on and Trent was amazing. Three at the table - I only had an app and the soup, my friend had a salad and side of brussel soups which was sautéed in heavy EVOO with onions, then other entrée was the redfish and a trio of ice cream bill before tip was $106.00. Little expensive and I came in hungry and left hungry not much on the menu if you are vegan GF. They should have more GF vegan options. I would come back just for the artichoke which was very yummy!!!
