After reading the reviews, I was definitely concerned about what type of room and what condition it would be in. But it didn't turn out as negative as I thought it would be for my brief stay in Vegas.
I checked in on Thursday night a little before the midnight hour. There was a long line to check in but it moved fairly quickly. Surprisingly, the newly installed kiosks where you can check-in on your own were mostly vacant. I was told they've only been there for 6 months so far and people are slow to embrace checking in on their own. I would have used the kiosk but I had to make sure my room was what it was described and only a well-trained LINQ employee could reassure me of that.
Got the key cards and headed up to the room where it was in a supreme condition and not like what I read in other reviews. I was very happy with the room. Also, I was facing away from the strip so the noise level was way down to almost none. The guest services were great to answer my questions I had over the phone. The only problem was the shower dial. It was difficult to turn and needed more effort than was expected. Maybe I lucked out but I would be happy to stay at The LINQ again if I needed to.
