I took an evening walk around the Mount Washington neighborhood and came across Shiloh Grill. The menu looked simple yet a refreshing change from your typical pub I am used to (I live in AZ).
It was a great night so I asked for a table on the deck and I ordered a Belgian beer. While I relaxed and enjoyed the weather I looked at plates that were being served at other tables to aid the decision making process. The staff was very friendly and not pushy at all.
I started with the Polish Church Basement Pierogies because, you know, "While in Rome..." I am not an expert on Polish food but they were some of the best I've had. The pasta was soft and buttery and the potato filling, well seasoned.
For an entre I enjoyed the "Eggplant Aubergine". This "healthy-ish" dish will take your tastebuds on a slow and sensual sail on an ocean of flavors. Picture a lasagna made with thinly-sliced fried eggplant instead of noodles, held together by cheese and sauce and topped with... MORE CHEESE! A magnificent dish that will leave you wanting more. Advise: Wear your stretchy pants.
