  • We only paid $70 a night (through Groupon) so theres mixed feelings. Everything was subpar. I was annoyed by the fact that one night we came in (at 9pm) and they were drilling the whole floor. We got there and the workers looked at us like we were an inconvenience, and they kept drilling til about 11pm. I think there was only one or two rooms being rented. Anyways, we cashed out or free drinks in the hotel "bar" and I felt sorry for the lonely bartender. The bar was a plastic cart in a conference room of some sort. But she was awesome and poured my glasses of wine all the way to the top. And these weren't normal glasses of wine, oh no. These were like, double the size of anything I've seen in the states. So essentially I got a bottle of wine for free. We took our booze back to the room and fell asleep. At around 4am I woke up to something that sounded like gunshots. I'm sure it wasn't that, but once again they had people working on the floor. I mentioned something when checking out and they basically just said "whoops, sorry...". Next trip to Toronto, we're staying closer to the city. But even if we want to save a little cash, I'm not coming back to this place.
