  • After last night, sadly, we WON'T be coming here again. We had been here about 6 months ago with family for the first time and all had a great time and really enjoyed the food and service. Last night...not so much. Really, it was the service that was the worst. And if management is reading this, we dined out on the patio around 7pm, the table nearest the door, and our server was the taller man (not Julian who was taking care of the birthday party and whom we wished was taking care of us). Oh, I also left a note on my 'merchant copy' of the bill so hopefully you saw that too. I won't go into a whole narrative here, but our experience from the brunette hostess at the front door to the server we had, it either felt like it was too much for some people or they just didn't want to be working last night. Service we received was cold, unfriendly, impersonal, felt rushed or stressed, not an environment I wanted to be in after working a long hard week and wanting to go out and enjoy some good food, drinks and atmosphere and spend my hard-earned money. Plenty of other places we can actually feel welcomed. The food was okay, but not as I remembered it from last time. I had three tacos: braised beef was really bitter, lamb dry, adovado forgettable. I opted for the side of mexican street corn which was so watery I wondered if I was eating canned corn. Beef enchiladas were dry and in much need of more sauce which I asked the server for more chips and salsa (best thing we had all night) in order to pour the salsa over the enchiladas. All this time, we kept hearing Julian (I hope I have his name right) get seated new tables and how he greeted them, introduced himself, was polite and friendly and thinking to ourselves, "Damn, why did we get stuck with this guy?" He should NOT be a server. He didn't even so much care while he was pouring water or setting things down on the table, spilling and knocking stuff over. It was oddly intense. I couldn't even look him in the face by the end of the meal, just get us out of here! We were going to ask for another server but my trust level just wasn't there in not having been served our food yet and we didn't want to make it worse.
