| - In town to visit family, and my sister and I wanted to get our nails did. We checked and this place was open. I debated whether it should get 2 or 3 stars... 3 stars because my sister loved her pedicure. The place is nice. But, it is very much a "hurry up get in get out and move the line of customers" type of place, in my opinion. And it was not busy when we were there.
I got a gel manicure and my sister got a pedicure. She loved her pedicure, and the guy did a great massage, she said. My gel manicure left much to be desired. When he gave me the bowl of water to put my hands in, the water was cold. I asked if he could make it hot, and he brought back the bowl with water maybe 1-2 degrees warmer. um...
There was no cuticle oil or the white stuff they put on your nails to soften the cuticles. I was surprised and actually grossed out that they didn't use any. He did the cuticle cutting, and at the end of the manicure, they were still shoddy. Maybe I should have gotten the deluxe deluxe deluxe manicure? I have normally gotten the basic manicure and had the cuticle oil/lotion.
He used 3 coats of the gel polish; which, ok. My manicure was probably 20-25 minutes total from start to finish. When I visit home again, I will not be returning to this place again. $35 for the gel manicure is an absolutely fair price; unless the service does not equate the price.
