  • This is not authentic Italian. But it's authentic NYC Italian. There's a difference. You don't want to go here for an authentic Tuscan dish, but if you want some spaghetti and meatballs, or what I had - the rigatoni with short ribs in "Sunday gravy," was amazing. There's a barrier between comfort food and high-end cuisine in Vegas. But sometimes you don't want a $100 steak...some home-style pasta and sauce hits the spot. And at $28 for my entree, it actually was a very affordable place with n upscale feel. My meal at Martorano's was exceptional. Filling and delicious. My only complaint is that the drinks are ridiculously priced. I paid $28 for my entree and $26 for 2 Jim Beam drinks (their house bourbon). Sorry, but Jim Beam is not a $13 per drink bourbon. Especially when drinks are measured exactly in jiggers and the bartender doesn't have the option of making it a bit stronger to please the guest. I'm not so upset about the booze content except that they weren't able to make a drink to my liking because it was 75% mixer. Next time, I'll do beer. Safer and cheaper. But overall, love this place. Affordable but still pretty upscale. Down to earth with the food, but the drinks are outrageous. I'm basing this review solely on the food - not the drinks. Five stars all the way for food, and this is a restaurant after all, so I'll let the drink prices slide.
