We were wanting to try a new salon. I called and asked the receptionist to recommend a stylist that was experienced in both Bayalage and blondes. My daughter was wanting to add some lighter/ brighter pieces to her hair. They recommend "Ashley".
We showed her some pictures and she was completely confident that she could achieve that look. 3.5 hours later, her hair was mostly a yellow goldish color. Her current Bayalage was gone! My daughter spent the night crying and we returned the next day and had a different stylist spend another 3 hours trying to correct the damage.
Come to find out, Ashley is not that experienced.
Shame on the receptionist, or whomever I spoke with that day to schedule her appointment. I was beyond clear in my request to schedule her with a highly experienced stylist. I'm not a blonde my self, but I do however know that blondes can be hard to achieve the correct color. It was nice of the second stylist to try and correct the damage, unfortunately it did not come close to what it looked like before or anything close to the original pictures that was shown.
