| - I have to admit I was nervous to come based on quite a few of the Yelp reviews but we were at a conference in Vegas and my husband's company had a function here so we thought let's try it on their dime! Well guess what? We ate there again on our own dime, it was that good.
I talked with our server on both visits, who admitted that there is a consistency problem with the serving staff, especially during the busy hours, but they were really working on bringing up the caliber. I have to say, he was solicitous to us each time, and very friendly and intuitive about when to ask if we needed anything, as well as when to leave us alone. The bar staff, hostess and bus boys (do we still call them that?) were all very friendly and helpful too.
Yes, some of the prices are steeper than what you would spend at your neighborhood Applebee's, but remember, all of Vegas and the Strip is pricey. So take all those reviews with a grain of salt, some peoples reasonable is another persons too damn high!
Yes, 17.00 for wings seems steep however you are never going to have them prepared like this, the best of the meat in one "lolly pop" of a succelent bite, so yummy. Well worth the splurge, my hubby and I split an order and it was plenty as an appetizer.
He had the Philly Cheese Steak dumplings and raved about them, I didn't get a bite in on those, so, bummer!
I have to agree that the Doritos mac and cheese did not even look appealing, so I could take peoples word to avoid it, which leads me to my next piece of advice:
Really carefully look at a menu and read the descriptions of the dishes, as well as the prices. With care, you will find something fun and inventive but also a sure bet to please your palate and pocketbook.
As for deals, they have a steak and eggs with shoestring fries for 9.99. Awesome deal! Plus we called ahead for our second visit and was told when to come for a food and drink promotion that is not advertised, it's all about positive attitude and good networking.
The interior is dark and the music is bumping, if you don't like that, don't come here and then complain about how dark and loud it is...as for us, we liked the "club" atmosphere because we are not the kind that are cool enough to get into Tao or Lavo, so this is the next best thing, good food, awesome music and fun times right on the Strip!
