| - So excited for the good timing in finding this studio right before opening week!
As I've said in a previous review of SparkCycle in SD, I was looking for a boutique cycle studio with a format similar to SoulCycle here in Las Vegas so I'm happy I saw this place in Boca Park. This whole week they've been offering complimentary classes in their 3 formats for potential members to try out.. so get on it while there's still space!
The studio if clean, flawless, and very welcoming. Their swag is pretty cute too! Also like the offering of cold towels, apples and kind bars after class. No need to bring your own towel..but do bring water/water bottle and socks! They also have a water fill station, changing room and lockers free of use.
Shoes for this week are free to rent but will be $2 when normal schedule kicks in. I don't mind using the shoes since they're brand new but will probably look into my own if/once I decide to commit to a membership.
I took a Perform X class on Wednesday evening with Brian. Format was similar to a typical spin class but with great music, no lights, and interesting exercises. The class was challenging but not overbearing. You can go at your own pace and you'll sweat none the less. He also keeps everyone motivated with his encouraging words throughout the class. The 45 mins went quick!
I decided that for the Perform X classes, I am going to reserve the bikes in front (2 or 4) because it's easier to see the instructors form and your form in the mirror. The room is dark anyway and the bikes are so compact together that there's no reason to be self conscious.
When reserving with a friend, and choosing amongst the seats in front, pick either 1/3, 2/4, 5/7, or 6/8.. that way you're next to each other facing the instructor rather than sitting one behind the other.
Looking forward to taking the Rhythm class on Saturday morning!
