  • I am glad to see they no longer charge for the basic Stubs program which gets you a free refill on your popcorn, like every other theater already does without the hassle of signing up for a membership. Still, a large popcorn and large drink came out to just over $17 at AMC. The same deal at Harkins is $9 using the souvenir cup. Probably why AMC westgate is not busy like other theaters in the area. Second issue is the gold card holders who get a special line at the snack bar, forcing everyone else to wait. How about opening more than 2 registers on a Saturday afternoon? At least the bedbug problems are gone. The sound of the movie and theater itself was excellent so I have to give them credit for that, it's the other stuff that's annoying. Oh, and the employee as soon as you enter the lobby who asks if you'd like a free popcorn, so I say sure knowing it's a trick to sell you some garbage. Then of course, it's you get a free popcorn if you fill out this survey and sign up for another program. Ugh! How annoying! Just give me a movie and popcorn at a fair price, not that difficult. I will only return when someone gives me a gift card.
