| - We went here last night and it was amazing. As a Phoenix native, I have eaten at a lot of the better restaurants in the metro Valley. It is safe to say that Atlas is at least a step, if not three, better than any other restaurant in the Valley and is, in itself, a destination. The food quality is magnificent and the presentation is inspired. Within the presentation is a playfulness and creativity that lets the consumer be part of the process. Each dish has a number of sauces and complimentary food items within in it, presented in most unusual ways. Thus as one is eating, they can combine the different elements of the dish with the sauces, creating an evolving food experience. So a basic fois gras dish becomes a living art piece that includes hazelnut granola, pears, dates... plus a variety of perfected sauces drawn throughout the physical plate. Combinations I never knew would be good together but Atlast somehow marries the improbable to make it probable and awesome. I am ecstatic to have found this place. This is a place that is above and beyond any other restaurant I have been to. And as a self-taught home cook, I appreciate the ability to be served such original food-I was looking for a place that cooks better than me and for food I could never do at home because it would be too complicated. I hit the jackpot with Atlas. And for all that I found the price more than reasonable. One of best things is after the meal was done, I actually felt nourished. I can't wait to go back.
