  • My BF was in town from Denver last weekend and her toes were hideous after she had been wearing snow boots for 4 weeks. I actually suggested she do a bit of toe maintenance before she came, so she wouldn't embarrass me at my fav pedi spot! Similarly, she cleaned her toilets the night before her cleaning lady came for the first time because she was mortified about how dirty they were. Nothing could be more reputation tarnishing than the time I brought a high school friend and realized she only had one great toenail--the other was removed because it was ingrown. She actually suggested they paint the nail bed! Well I guess this is a review of AJ's not my embarrassing stories! Anyway, the past 2 times I have gotten pedis they were done by a guy who gives amazing foot massages, but doesn't really have the flower design down yet (I guess I can forgive that), I saw him working on Saturday and warned my friend to forgo the design if she got him, but his foot massage made up for his other inadequacies. Well, he ended up being my pedi man, and I should have known better, but I decided to get a french mani as well. As you can imagine, it was atrocious! The white stripes were way too thick and the paint bubbled... Note to self just the basics for the male pedicurists!
