  • My 5-star rating is solely based on my favorite barber Javier. I am an extremely particular person when it comes to a haircut. I don't just sit and have the barber go for some generic 'edge up, and hope for the best. I believe we've all had that experience where you aren't as specific as you'd like with your stylist, and your haircut is now butchered. I went to college in this area at GCU, and have been going to Frank's Barber Shop to only have Javier cut my hair. He really takes his time to give you the perfect cut and is worth the wait. Yes, there is usually a wait to see him, so I like to come early during the weekdays on my days off. The area is sketchy, but I willingly drive from the Biltmore area to see him. Javier is the kind of barber that is too good for the area and/or shop he works for. I always tip him well and you'll get a barber who gives you exactly what you want and takes his time on your hair, regardless of the wait. Yes, I realize this next statement will make me sound pretentious. I have had $100+ haircuts that turned out horrible! Each at three different shops/salons where you would least expect this to happen. As if I had blindly walked into an unsupervised superclips greatclips hair salon. This is saying something. Javier is worth the wait. He's the best hope there, trust him. Also, forewarning, whatever you do, do not go on a Saturday or Sunday morning. The longest I ever had to wait was 1 hour and forty-five minutes. One more thing, I realized after all this time, when they run your card, in the end, their debit card machine takes an awkwardly amount of time to process. FYI.
