We switched my daughter to Primrose from Childrens Learning Adventure and she absolutely loves it. I don't want to be one of those parents that take their kid out of a situation just because they have a little difficultly adapting but she really just didn't like going to "school". After many months of hard mornings and tearful pleas to stay at home my husband and I decided to try Primrose. What a difference! Of course my daughter still prefers to stay home but she no longer hates school days.
My daughter only attends preK 8hrs a day two days a week. It's harder to make sure she is included in special activities and getting proper exposure to the program. Childrens Learning Adventure did nothing to help her feel like part of the class. At Primrose they go out of their way to help her get the full benefit of their curriculum even though she's part time.
Every staff member and especially my daughter's teachers are wonderful. I get a great feeling from interactions with the staff and the facility in general. While Children's Learning Adventure LOOKS very impressive & they have a great playground and different activities. they turned out to be...highly commercialized? With a "children's warehouse" feeling. Primrose doesn't make me feel like I'm dropping my daughter off at a warehouse for the day, she is now getting a good introduction to the upcoming school years & making friends.
