Came here yesterday(Sunday) around 7 PM. It was pretty empty which is understandable for the time and day my boyfriend and I were there.
The exterior of the building was black with their logo in which you can't really peer in from the window.
The ambiance is like you're in a tiki room with dim red lights and amazing decor around. We were greeted with the lovely server wearing a Hawaiian shirt.
The foods were your typical bar food with a "tiki" spin to it.
My boyfriend and I shared the Pu Pu Platter which was an assort of appetizers of:
- Crab Rangoon (crab meat, cream cheese and scallions in deep fried wonton style)
- Chicken Satay
- Maui Coconut Shrimp
- Teriyaki Broccoli
- Veggie Spring Rolls
- Meat Balls
For the drinks, we ordered the Volcano bowl, meant for 4 people, but we did just fine with the two of us and a Tiki Puka Puka drink to finish the experience.
Overall:
- the platter was pretty good given the fact that it was an assortment of appetizers, we LOVED the crab ragoon, coconut shrimp, teriyaki broccoli!
- the Volcano is definitely quite the presentation as every time someone orders it, the bartender sounds the system and fog effects alerts the restaurant and customers that someone ordered it. Definitely boozy.
- the Tiki Puka Puka drink was definitely much more boozier than the Volcano and all the drinks we drank had mixtures with rum.
Definitely a fun place to go and enjoy a night that's not your typical bar, very dark and cool!
