  • In Phoenix, Mexican fast food is as plentiful as a McDonald's is everywhere else. Filiberto's and Federico's have always been my favorites in Phoenix but Carolina's blows Filiberto's and Federico's almost out of the water...Almost. Their slogan is something along the lines of "Best tortillas in town" and they are correct. Growing up my mom would always take trips to Tucson to get the hand-made flower tortillas and I thought those were the best things since Capri-Sun pouches but even Carolina's even gives those a challenge for my favorite tortilla. The burritos are what you expect, just as they say on the menu, but they taste fresher than other fast Mexican food and their chorizo is some of the best I have had in the valley (Next to my Mom's). My only complaint is that the horchata and hibiscus tea (Jamaica) is from a generic company and you can tell in the taste. The inside is also very nice for a fast-food place and is very clean...That's always a major plus. If you think you love Mexican food, you must try this place.
