I'd like to preface that I have only written 2 bad hotel reviews in my entire life, and this is one of them.
The room was warm the second night we were there so I turned it on and hit it to about 6 degrees colder and the fan on. I fell asleep hoping it would cool off during the night. It didn't. It got 2 degrees warmer when I got up at 1:30AM. I didn't want to call the front desk and wake up my husband so I didn't really sleep the rest of the night. As soon as he left in the morning I called to have someone come up and fix it hoping to get a nap in. After he left the temperature went UP 3 degrees. At this point I was livid and sweating profusely. I took a shower and it just turned it off but the room was boiling. I had to prop the door open with my foot to apply make up without it running down my face.
I also ALWAYS tip the maids whenever we stay at a hotel. They're some of the most hardworking and underpaid people in the work force. However at the Sheraton they did not clear any of the used glasses with soda in it that we set aside to be cleared. The bedskirts also had an alarming amount of dirt on them.
I told the front desk and they removed our charge for parking and were very nice about it but it wasn't enough to salvage our stay.
On a positive note the decorations were lovely and we enjoyed the coffee/cider.
