Many people complain about the Nevada DMV. These are the people who a) don't research what paperwork they need to bring, and b) don't make an appointment. I had to renew my license today. I had done my homework so I had all the paperwork I needed for a Real ID. I also made an appointment. I arrived about 10 minutes before my appointment time. Before I could even sit down they were calling my number. I was in and out in 15 minutes.
I have never had any trouble with this DMV. All the technicians are friendly (amazing given that they're government employees), efficient (amazing given that they're government employees) and knowledgeable (amazing given that they're government employees). I have lived in two southern states. Both required you to go to one office (state) for license and another (county) for car registration. I love that Nevada has one-stop shopping.
So do your homework and make an appointment. If you don't you have only yourself to blame.
