  • I never knew how hard it is to find a good psychiatrist until I needed one. I had been to several before finding Dr. Schwartz and what a night and day difference. He listens carefully and asks questions to better understand my current situation at each visit. He values my input in my treatment plan. I feel like we are making the treatment plan together as a team. He doesn't accept insurance, so it is self-pay. It's worth it though for the better care. Before you make the assumption that not accepting insurance is out of greed, it's not. It all about providing the best care. My understanding is that insurance companies only allow 15 mins to be billed for medication maintenance visits. I know in my situation 15 mins usually isn't an adequate amount of time to really talk about how the treatment plan is going, and make any adjustments if needed. Without having to worry about all the restrictions of insurance, Dr. Schwartz can focus on taking the ideal amount of time to concentrate on you!
