  • I started seeing Dr. Martin when Shea Women's Care first opened several years ago. I immediately felt at ease with her and continued visiting for two subsequent annual exams before becoming pregnant with my first child. I cannot imagine having gone anywhere else. I love Dr. Martin and Christy (MA). Nancy (NP) and Dr. Carter are equally as wonderful and I had no qualms having to see them if Dr. Martin was out for a delivery. I NEVER waited more than fifteen minutes for an appointment and even then I received multiple apologies for the delay. Dr. Martin is honest and to the point, never speaks to me as if I'm stupid (as many physicians tend to do, assuming a non-medical professional lacks knowledge) and always answers my questions. Even in my crazy paranoid pregnancy state, she always had patience and understanding. She's highly qualified, educated and is always there for her patients. To address previous negative reviews, the ultrasound technicians have their own schedule. I've had to wait half an hour for them to finish with a previous patient who took longer than expected. Whatever the reason, they obviously needed the extra time. I would hope whoever was waiting for an appointment following mine would understand if mine took longer due to unforeseen circumstances regarding my unborn child. I absolutely will be going to her for future pregnancies and annual exams.
