  • Finally got to check this place out. I've wanted to come here for a while but usually end up elsewhere, when looking for a bowl of noodles. I was wanting to try the Yunnan Cross Bridge noodles but ended up getting the customise your own bowl lunch special instead. It was $7.90 for a bowl of noodles including 2 toppings and a drink. I decided on the mild spicy beef broth with luncheon meat and beef slices. My bowl came and it was a large size. You can get as much noodles as you want but being in a regular bowl, the soup wouldn't have stayed hot enough. But who seriously eats that much noodles anyways? I find one bowl is enough. The soup base was a bit watery and bland. Not like other noodle places that have such a good broth that you just think about your next visit. My dining partner got the Yun soup base and it wasn't very good either. It contained minced pork too which is a but much with more meat toppings. Now I know why they have the condiment cart here, you need it to add flavour to your bowl. The sichuan spicy oil was very fragrant and delicious. I'd be very reluctant to try the Cross Bridge noodles here because of the broths and it does cost $11.90. But for the price of $7.90, I'd return if I was in the area, because you can add more flavour from the condiment cart. We also ordered the chicken nugget appetizer. Chicken had a bit of flavour but was a bit dry. I don't think I'd order any sides again either.
