I have a confession to make. I have absolutely no sense of style and I'm a cheapskate. To say that my house is spartan is being generous. Trappist monks have more crap than I do.
At first I was content with this lifestyle. Lately though, I want my house to feel like HOME rather than a carpeted cell.
With the help of a stylish lady-friend I ventured into Hobby Lobby to find some cheap decor that would jazz my place up.
It may have been the time of year but every darn thing in the store was half off. Thanks to the pricing I got some sweet art in custom frames, some weird crap to put on the walls, and some pseudo-intellectual knickknacks that I could place around the house. At half off the already reasonable prices my end total wasn't bad at all.
While I prefer more eclectic items, Hobby Lobby was a nice stopgap for me on my quest for something approaching stylishness.
