  • I liked 16th Street Sports bar...but apparently, I was one of the few as it closed up in the past 2-3 months. I loved the leather couches on the remodeled side with the 50" tvs. But it wasn't meant to be. I hate to say it, but 16th Street has WAY too many bars now and this was one of the first casualties. Phoenicians seem to LOVE chains, and it's sad to see this one go while Zipps and the recently-built Z-tejas have arrived down the street. At least Rokerij is still nearby. Some other, divey alternatives include: Swizzle, CJ's Talley's, HB Hanrattys and Pomeroys, the latter 2 on 7th Street.
