  • Finally after checking Nordstroms out, Ive decided I have various reviews for different departments. First things first, I personally enjoy the selection of makeup that Nordstroms. has has to offer and i could spend hours there. I really appreciate the mix between high end and mid end products. Infact I like that aspect of Nordstroms in general. Sometimes you don't want to pay high end prices and other times you want a pick me up and you can do this at Nordstroms. I like the first floor and the clean feeling of openness in the atmosphere. In terms of design, I think saks has more of a pulling appeal and more of a luxurious feel. Nordstroms has more of a casual but elegant environment. It is way less intimidating to walk into and that fact alone will make it do well for consumers not always wanting to pay hefty prices. Thats also what will separate it from Holts and Saks. That it caters to various price points. I will make a shoutout mention to the manager of Mac makeup. Who would have thought that I would get pulled in there when I could have bought mac in a million places. But the manager there has mastered customer service, attentive, listened, genuinely nice, and at the end of the day Nordstroms and MAC is lucky to have her because she makes customers feel valued and embodies the nordstrom customer service first motto. The second floor was a okay. I did rummage through all the clothes and not a whole lot appealed to me to pick up and try on in the contemporary area. The service was good however there, she was attentive and good service all around. Overall I could have written a better review I will update this the next time I go in, and be more through all about all the departments, but so far, I enjoyed the makeup section the best !
