Although they seem to have a good amount of British merchandise, I left without making my purchase. The owners are horribly rude. I wanted to buy an item that costs 8.50, a can of marmalade concentrate which I have bought there before many times. When I went to pay with debit, the owner barked at me 'NO. TEN DOLLAR MINIMUM FOR DEBIT. BUY ANOTHER CAN' I was not about to double my purchase in order to use my payment option of choice. I know retailers are charged a fee for debit transactions, and I know this fee is sometimes passed on to the customer in the form of a small surcharge While I don't like this procedure, I would have considered it had the owner spoken to me in a way that made me feel valued as a customer. He was so unpleasant that I left the can on the counter and left, even though I had cash in my pocket and could have used it. I know that there are other stores in Toronto that sell MaMade as well as British chocolate and other products and I will not be going back to this store
