  • I was in Pittsburgh for a seminar and Simpatico was the coffee shop closest to my hotel. I'm so glad that it was right around the corner! At first we walked by the building when trying to find it, but we're out-of-towners. The stand is currently undergoing some major renovation and it looks like the new set up will be really nice. On our first trip, we both ordered large lattes and were not disappointed. They were just the right temperature, had great flavor, and kept us going during the seminar. We went back to Simpatico the next morning before heading out of town. I think we may have been lucky because it was a Sunday and they were open despite their hours showing that they are closed on Sundays. I ordered both a medium cappuccino and a smoothie (tropical fruits with kale) for the road. Both were tasty. I love the fact that kale is an option in pretty much all of their smoothies. There's no mistaking that kale flavor, but I'm a fan. I should note that the owner, Ward, remembered us from the day before and even remembered why we were in town. Can't beat that kind of customer service!
