Ah yes the hotel that resembles a communist or socialist country, preying on the conference goers with no real incentive to improve the hotel itself. Simply provide continued subpar and antiquated conditions but offer an incentive in the form of repressed prices to lure them in...
A disappointing business model to say the least. I imagine corporate simply looks at this hotel model as a steady dividend that they will ride until the income eventually erodes or the reviews simply become so awful that the Hyatt name itself becomes tarnished.
The hotel pool and exercise room are so pathetic for a place of this size that it is laughable. It's like you are being punished for attending a conference in Phoenix.
The 80's style interior is clearly a decade or two behind a needed upgrade.
Bright spots in this oppressive hotel include friendly staff and a lobby that is updated. Kind of like the half built hotels and streets you heard about at the Olympics in Russia.
If your an employee simply doing your job by attending the conference I guess you suck it up in the name of business profits. However if you can afford to avoid the illusive conference priced room carrot stick, do so and pick a hotel that actually has to earn your business instead.
