We were scheduled to go with an events group of around 35 people. My friend and I got there 40 minutes early. A man that appeared to work for the place was propping the door open and greeted us. We milled around and listened to the band run some practices and sounds test. We talked to the bartender about food and was told she could give us some menus for pizza delivery. We waited about 40 minutes for the rest of our group. At 7 (opening time) we were approached and told we were not suppose to be in there and asked to leave. The man didn't offer to our $5 entrance fee or walk us to a waiting area he just asked us to leave. So we did. Outside there were people milling around but it appeared our group would make up the majority of the patrons for the evening. We did not know that what appeared to be a front entrance was not the front entrance. No one stopped us or came up to us for 40 minutes. It was not a weekend. I tried calling but no one picked up and I tried to find an email address with no luck. I doubt I will return unless they contact me and explain themselves. If my employee talked to someone in that matter I would fire them. When I told the man I will never come back he shrugged. What amounted to a misunderstanding was handled with extreme rudeness and with a complete disregard to our future business. I will be informing our event coordinator of how we were treated as well. The group does events every night of the week. I hope he removes this one from our future schedules. All we saw was a dirty club with torn bar stools.
